Screening of Talisman Theatre's Night from the 4th to the 5th

You are invited to a special screening of Talisman Theatre's award-winning film Night from the 4th to the 5th on May 24!

Night from the 4th to the 5th is a surrealist take on sexual violence and tells the story of a young woman who fought back. As her mind plays tricks on her, she is troubled by memory lapses and fleeting images. This experimental film shows a woman who speaks rather than remain silent; who acts rather than remain paralyzed.

Tickets for this event are $10 each. This screening is a fundraiser for Talisman Theatre's upcoming production of Still Life, which will play 11 performances at La Chapelle from October 28 to November 9, 2024.

On May 6th, some of Montreal's finest English theatre companies will join host Sarah Deshaies for a collective Season Launch at the Conseil des arts de Montreal (1210 Sherbrooke St. E.) Come celebrate with us as we reveal what’s next for Black Theatre Workshop, Geordie Theatre, Imago Theatre, Infinithéâtre, Repercussion Theatre, Tableau D’Hôte Theatre, Talisman Theatre, and the Quebec Drama Federation. Doors open at 10:30am, the launch starts at 11am.

Come support some of this city's most essential theatre companies, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of Montreal’s English theatre landscape!

Projection du film ‘Night from the 4th to the 5th’ du Théâtre Talisman

Vous êtes invité à une projection spéciale du film primé 'Night from the 4th to the 5th' du Théâtre Talisman le 24 mai !

'Night from the 4th to the 5th' est une interprétation surréaliste de la violence sexuelle et raconte l'histoire d'une jeune femme qui s'est défendue. Alors que sa mémoire lui joue des tours, elle est troublée par des trous de mémoire et des images fugaces. Ce film expérimental montre une femme qui parle plutôt que de se taire, qui agit plutôt que de rester paralysée.

Les billets pour cet événement sont au prix de 10 $ chacun. Cette projection est une levée de fonds pour la prochaine production du Théâtre Talisman, 'Still Life,' qui aura 11 représentations au Théâtre La Chapelle du 28 octobre au 9 novembre 2024.
